ULASAN 2

Hybrid Cloud
The second video that i'm reviewing is a video from youtube that is called Rackspace Academy Office Hours - Introduction to hybrid cloud. The video duration is 40:43 minutes, this video is explained by  a Rackspace Academy person. The link to the video that im reviewing is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isr7grB-0dg .

Hybrid cloud is a cloud computing environment which use a mixture of private cloud and third-party, public cloud services and an orchestration used to connect between these platforms.

So if we talk about cloud, there is cloud operating system, this cloud operating system is used to enable the user to manage their cloud, it allow user to control and issue commands to the virtualization layer in order to build the computes storage and networking resources needed to run the application. So for example we want to build a 15 GB server with a 500 MB of storage, that command will be executed directly and that server will come online very quickly.

Application programming interface will allow customer to come along and write their application, web and code to the cloud. The benefit of using an openstack it is that we can migrate our code/applicationi to other cloud services. This can be done easier because there is many other cloud services that use the same API so that we can move our data to that cloud easily without needed to write them all one by one.

The content of the video is clear enough to make me understand the content of the video. It's better to use openstack in my own opinion so that we can migrate our data/application/code if needed without much effort, means that we didn't need to write the data one by one to migrate them all.

ULASAN 1

Operating System Management and Deployment

The video that i'm reviewing for my OS assignment is a video from youtube that is called Operating System Management and Deployment with SCCM 2012 R2. The video duration is 40:32 minutes, it's a module that is explained by microsoft people. The link to the video that i'm reviewing is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKrsCCyLtL4.

The video that i'm reviewing is explaining to us about the basic things that that we need to think if we want to build up an OS. So if we want to deploy an OS we need to know the user that we are targeting to. Because there is a variety of users that are using it but we need a specific target so that the OS can satisfy that user. Before that we need to understand what current OS that they use, also the workload that they do with that OS.

There are two key driver that we need for an OS, it's networking layer and working on our mass storage drivers so that we can interact with the hard drive. If we want to start building an OS, we need to imagine we are sitting in front of a laptop or maybe PC and we imagine what process is executed. For example we want to install an OS using a USB drive, what process is done and what driver that is involved to make it work.

We also need to think about the user state, so there is a state called user state. This state means that we need to think about the data that the user have. We need to think where do we want to store it when they upgrade the software. Because the user didn't want the profile that they already customized gone just like that. There is two ways how to store the user data, There is a cloud where we can migrate the user data for a while until the upgrading is done, but if we use the cloud, we need a fast network so that the user will not wait that long for the data. But we can also store it locally which means we didn't need a network, if we didn't need network we can access the data anytime the user need.

The content of the video is good, it's easy to understand because the speakers voice is clear enough for me to understand. The speakers is from microsoft which makes me excited when I saw this video. The content of the video is also important because I learn many things after watching this video, this video also include the basic things that we need to know if we want to make an OS which is good for us to know.
